Are you guys located in the Springs? Looking for a pit bull type rescue to volunteer at/donate to, CPBR is a little far for me. Let me know, would love to do whatever I can to help. Thank you for all you do.

Before you give him up, why not try some training? There is no reason to let him go. Also, try reading Cesar's books, the Dog Whisperer and look at his videos on line at NatGeo. You can look up different topics such as aggression towards other dogs. Your dog needs plenty of exercise. Two walks a day for at least 45 minutes a piece. Not strolling, but a good walk to take the energy and frustration away. Usually a dog will become aggressive if they are bored which leads to frustration and they have to vent it some how. Best of luck to you. I will keep you all in my prayers.

PLease help me, I have a almost 2yr old brindle pit that I love to pieces, but out of nowhere keeps atacking my older dog. he is great with people but suddenly can't be around anyother dogs. I was there when he was born and love him dearly but fear he will hurt my other dog. I'm very heat broken and fear my husband will take him to a shelter if I can't find him a home fast. He is very sweet towards people and with proper training i think he would be a great companion. Please please help me I want him to find a safe place to go I just don't know where to go.

Hello,
I took in my daughter's friends dog because she was taking her to the Humane Society. She is a single parent and getting help to move into an apartment but not allowed to keep her dog. I knew she wouldn't have a chance at the Humane Society. Her name is Lucy and she is a Rottweiller/Pit Bull mix. The previous owner has had her since a pup and raised her with her three kids so she is used to kids of all ages. She is 5 years old, spayed and is current on her shots, although I am waiting for the previous owner to find the paperwork for the shots. She is beautiful and loving but does not do well with cats or dogs. She was free fed and overweight. I have her down to a great weight for her size. I have other dogs and cats and can't keep her in my house and to avoid any risky situation I have kept her in a kennel beside my house. I walk her almost everyday and let her in my backyard for a couple of hours in the morning when I am home. If the neighbors have their dogs out, it is very difficult to get her to focus on anything else but the other dogs. She is very strong and I have had the best luck using a prong collar as she is strong and pulled my rotator cuff in some of our early walks. I have worked with her on heeling and sitting and she does great! She is not a nuisance barker but will bark at the trash truck and other dogs being walked. If she is getting too excited and barking, I can calmly get her to stop. She is trainable. She is the color of a Rottweiler but the size and shape of a small Pit Bull. She loves hugs and kisses. I have two dogs of my own and several cats and with Lucy in the kennel, I have a few neighbors trying to cause trouble with me having too many animals. I would love to find Lucy a forever home. Someone who could work with her and allow her to be a part of the family.

I have a six year old female pit jack russell terrier mix who has been living with me since she was 6 months. She was rescued from someone in Denver when she was a puppy. She is sweet, loving basically the best dog with adults and children. So affectionate cute and fun. She is extremely smart. She has been trained at Petsmart. She can sit , lay down, crawl, rollover, leave it, fetch (kind of) but does not come immediately and still struggles with leave it when it comes to other dogs, squirrels etc. She gets alongs with cats very well becasue of the cat. She wants to dominate other dogs which after she does everything is find; though most dogs do not like that which starts a fight which she can win. I am looking for a great home for her (who will love her and help her with aggression issues with dogs) or training right away. i do not want to put the sweetest dog I've ever known down it will break both my heart and my 10 yeard old son's heart. Please help or advise. Thank you.

So i rescued a pit bull over the weekend from being euthanized at the Human Society, he is a wonderful 12 month old blue nose pit bull. He is wonderful with kids, dogs and cats. He has a wonderful temperament and is a gentle as can be. The only problem with him is that he is deaf. I have been able to work with him during the weekend and have trained him to walk gentle on leash and have taught him hand signals to sit. He needs a real loving home that someone is will to work with him. Hopefully you guys can help me.
