Hi! I am Jen Bryant, and I have been working diligently to get the Aurora breed ban repealed. While many have called it a lost cause, and I certainly see why, I am not giving up. I want to thank you for what you do. I also want to say thank you for the response of Joseph Nielsen’s I just found on your website. I have done extensive research on the matter of bsl, but the question of genetic disposition still loomed. I am a science, number crunching, kind of gal. While, for now, Aurora City Council won’t listen to a thing I say (except for Barbara Cleland, she is awesome), I have a response to anyone that asks about the pit bulls so called genetic predisposition to dog aggression. I can’t tell you how much research I have done and haven’t come across anything like that!
Thanks again, and tell those bullys they are loved for me!
Jen B.

Hi Jen,
Feel free to email me at peanutsplacerescue@yahoo.com or drop me a phone call at 719-478-3370.
You can use anything in Joseph’s research as long as you give him credit. He was a dear friend and a special advocate for Pit Bulls.
You are also welcome to come out anytime and meet the Bullys.
Sincerely,
Renee

My wife picked up a copy of Atomic Dogg and I saw your article. Look to hear more from me in the future. We’re moving from NJ to Texas to set up an animal rescue/ sanctuary. One of the things that got my attention are your kennels. Could you tell me the brand, and approximate price Since this is going to be a completely new setup I’m not bringing any of my old kennels and fencing.

We pull dogs from a kill shelter that we feel are adoptable. We have two pit bull females that have been raised together and are maybe a year old. They don’t like cats or other dogs, but are great with people. But we cannot adopt them locally, as we just do not have the right potential homes. One is a fawn and one is brindle. They are running out of time. Any ideas?

PLease help me, I have a almost 2yr old brindle pit that I love to pieces, but out of nowhere keeps atacking my older dog. he is great with people but suddenly can’t be around anyother dogs. I was there when he was born and love him dearly but fear he will hurt my other dog. I’m very heat broken and fear my husband will take him to a shelter if I can’t find him a home fast. He is very sweet towards people and with proper training i think he would be a great companion. Please please help me I want him to find a safe place to go I just don’t know where to go.

Before you give him up, why not try some training? There is no reason to let him go. Also, try reading Cesar’s books, the Dog Whisperer and look at his videos on line at NatGeo. You can look up different topics such as aggression towards other dogs. Your dog needs plenty of exercise. Two walks a day for at least 45 minutes a piece. Not strolling, but a good walk to take the energy and frustration away. Usually a dog will become aggressive if they are bored which leads to frustration and they have to vent it some how. Best of luck to you. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Hi,
We are relocating to Colorado, I see that Denver has BSL, can you let me know which cities or towns would be the best place for a Pit and Rottweiler owner to look for housing (renting) we would be able to look at any area on the east side of the Rockies, from Pueblo up to Cheyenne. Thanks for any help.

Hi, my name is jamie i sent you an email and just wanted to make sure you got it. Was windering if you had any space out there for work around 8-10 hrs a week. I have a back ground with animal work, I absolutely love the bully breeds as I have one of my own. Can’t stand the breedists out there. If you could email me back or let me know if you need the help or not the would be wonderful and i hope to hear from you.

I was wondering where you guys are located? Is it Yoder or Peyton? The reason I ask, is I am currently searching for property for a dog rescue. I know it can be hard to find somewhere with the zoning and of course the neighbors. I was wondering if you would be able to give me some tips on the zoning where you are located? Thanks so much for all you guys do!
Michelle

There is no zoning Yoder. The Colorado Department of Ag regulates rescues if you have more than 15 dogs/cats in your rescue program. Feel free to email me at peanutsplacerescue@yahoo.com

Thank you for your reply on the BSL cities. We are moving to the area around Falcon and Peyton. Are you close to that area? Please send me some information on volunteering with your organization. I have 12 years as an animal control office (very pro-pit) and would love to give some time time to help out.
Thanks Much,
Charlene
