This beautiful girl was abandoned by her owner when he moved to Lonetree and learned of the breed ban. She grew up with a Shih Tsu sister and usually does better with female than male dogs. She is very eager to please and knows her basic commands. Her eyes seem to look right into your soul.

All of us four legged and two would like to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.

We know that the holiday season is time for extra love for your pet, Just a reminder from Dan from Pit Bull Positive, “ If your going to spoil your dogs make sure you dont give them any cooked turkey or any cooked bones period. Cooking makes the bones brittle and splinters can do damage or even potentially kill your dog so make sure and avoid them. We take the leftover mashed potatoes and mix in some other goodies and fill kongs and freeze them, the dogs love them and it takes them quite a while to finish them off. I suggest you give them to them in there crates if you do this as it is kinda messy otherwise.”

Don’t have a dog to spoil! We are always looking for volunteers and fosters, come on out and spoil the ones at Peanut’s Place.

Abbey is a beautiful white Pit Bull Terrier mix with one blue eye and one brown eye. She loves to play tug with her rope toy and her buddy Nelson. Abbey also enjoys lying around atop her dog house. Joy Joy

Joy Joy is a mellow, easy going, senior Lab/Pitbull mix. She loves to go for leisurely strolls, looking up at you the whole time saying, “Can you please just let me come home and be a couch potato for my golden years with you?” She is a very affectionate girl, with a very sweet spirit.

100 Mile Walk for Pit Bulls is to raise awareness of the true American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and The Staffordshire Bull Terrier… their character and nature as a breed and as a family pet, to debunk the urban legend of a what a Pit Bull is and what it is not, to demonstrate the loyalty, obedience, humor and love that is Pit Bull, to promote responsible ownership of Pit Bulls and ALL animals, and to gain the community’s support in over-turning local breed specific laws in Denver, CO that directly discriminate against these breeds based on miss-information.

The walk will take approx 6 days to complete and its route will pass through many non-breed ban cities and towns that neighbor the city of Denver.Everyone and ALL BREEDS are welcome to join the walk, at any point, and for as long as they wish… whether it be a few hundred feet, a few miles, or an entire day of walking.
